Ureaplasma are the normal genital flora of women and men. It is usually harmless but an imbalance can result in infections: urinary tract infections (UTIs) sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and complications in pregnancy.
A burning sensation on urination or an unusual discharge is the usual symptoms of an infection. It is important to get tested if you have multiple sexual partners or enter into a new sexual relationship.
Testing is important to diagnose the problem and possible infection, avoid complications, including pregnancy or infertility problems, and preventing its spread.
Infections spread during unprotected oral, vaginal or anal sexual contact
